Lighting up my city night
One by one, they shine alone
Unmoved by wind or snow or storm
Light of Jesus, in me shine
The light of God to all mankind
And help me stand, I can't alone
Against these lonely, trying storms
And just like street lights, glowing bright
My Jesus' light will pierce the night
As His children walk in His word
One by one, we'll light the world!
Forever and always,
-Sarah

Did you write that? Good job! I don't really have a clue about how to write poetry, I'm just so scared that if I try, I'll lose all my vocabulary and cadence and it will go something like:
Twinkle,Twinkle little star....
Anyway, it's a great thing to pray, even better to put into poetry. :)
Yeah I know what you mean (about the twinkle, twinkle :) It has certainly taken me a while to write poetry like Street Lights and Prayer For The Fathers (on prayerwall if you'd like to see it). For some people, it's looks so easy! Like any time they want they can just tap into that inner poet or something and create beautiful verses. For me it's a little different. It's either there or not. I made that poem up in about 5 minutes, believe it or not. But if you were to ask me to write one right now, I'd settle for twinkle, twinkle too!
That's very good, Sarah! I can not write a line! I have tried many times but, it's not my gift!=)
(My dream would be to be a singer and reach the unsaved through songs but, (unfortunately) I can't write them!! But I think I just found a song writer, right?;)JK)
